    The book "The Jungle" was written by a poor man who researched everything that had happened to people that worked in the meat packing industry. The book had went into detail about how the meat packaging company took all kinds of items and made them into "meat" that was sold into stores.

    The FDA was created in 1906 because of the meat packaging industries. The FDA makes sure that all foods are clean and not mixed with weird chemicals, or different meat. The FDA made it a law that all packaged foods have to have all ingrediants labeled on the package.
