    A trust was an arrangement by which stockholders in several companies transferred their shares to a single set of trustees. In exchange, the stockholders received a certificate entitling them to a specified share of the consolidated earnings of the jointly managed companies.

    The Open Door policy kept China open for trade with all countries on an egual basis. Also it would keep it from being controlled by one nation.

    Largest business enterprise ever launched, with an authorized capitalization of 1.4 billion. It's still the largest integrated producer headquater in the U.S.

    Woodrow proclaims nuetrality in the world war 1. Most Americans were in favor of this. They thought it was better for America to stay nuetral.

    When men went to war because the nuetrality act didn't last long. The women had to feed and take care of their family. So they took the jobs men would usually have, however some people didn't like this.
