    About 30,000 fascists marched to the capital, Rome. They demanded thst Mussolini be put into power. The king acquiesced to the peoples demands and give control to Mussolini.

    The Ethiopians had successfully resisted an Italian attempt during the 1890's. To avenge defeat, Mussolini ordered a massive invasion of Ethiopoia in October 1935.

    Stalin had successfully modernize the Soviet Union by using totalitarianism methods. Those who stood in his way were exiled, starved to death or simply murdered. With the industrialization of the soviet union complete, Stalin was ready to reclaim lands lost in World War 1.
