    Alexander the Great die at the age of thirty-three. He died of some sort of illness in the palace of Nebuchadrezzar II of Babylon. He is known all around the world today and he made a helpful change.

    In 331 B.C. Alexander the Great went to Egypt and sent some time there conquering towns and villages and helping people. People were so gracefull of him that they made the Light House of Alexandria in the city in which he named after himself.

    Alexander defeated Darius of Persia, at the Battle of Gaugamela. Alexander later then captured Babylon. Because he was so great in battle and was friendly to the people he captured, people called him Alexander the Great.

    Alexander was born in 356 BC at a city called Pella. Pella used to be the capital of Macedonia. His parents were King Philip II of Macedonia, and princess Olympias of Epirus.

    Alexander and his father along with their army went to battle at Thermopylae. They went with near villages and eventally departed. As a group they won the battle.

    When King Philip was killed, Alexander took over the throne of being a king of the Macedonians. The people loved him and he did his job well making good judgement and allowing people to have freedom.
