    During his stay at Cambridge University, Niels Bohr began his study of the structure of atoms. He borrowed ideas from Max Planck’s Quantum Theory and created a model that included a set nucleus with orbiting electrons that would jump from a higher orbit to a lower one.

    After WWII, Bohr became an advocate for peace and sent a letter to the United Nations. He called for a world that was free to share technology and information. The International Atomic Energy Agency was then created in response.
