    Martin Luther begins the Reformation when he nailed the 95 theses on the church wall.

    Nicolaus Copernicus

    He published the book, On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres, which stated that the Sun was at the center of the universe. This would help Gailieo later come up with his theory
  • Dec 13, 1545

    Council of Trent

    The council issued condemnations on what it defined as Protestant heresies and defined Church teachings in the areas of Scripture and Tradition, Original Sin, Justification, Sacraments, the Eucharist in Holy Mass and the v. eneration of saints. It issued numerous reform decrees. THis was the start of the Counter-Reformation

    Johannes Kepler

    Johannes Kepler was a German astroleger, astronomer, and mathematician.He is best known for his eponymous laws of planetary motion book, which stated his 2 of his 3 laws. The first law being the orbit of every planet is an ellipse with the Sun at one of the 2 foci. The second law, a line joining a planet and the Sun sweeps out equal area during equal intervals of time. These law would prove to be revolutionar, and even set the foundations for Newton's theory of universal gravitation.

    • Giordano Bruno burned at the stake for heresy, was a proponent of Copernicus. He was an Italian Philsopher, mathematician, and astronomer

    This war was fought mainly between German Protestant princes and allies against The Holy Roman Empire,The war started with the revolt of portestant nobles in the city of Bohemia.
  • Trial of Galileo

    Gailieo was accused of being a heretic when he published his book , the dialouge, which proclaimed that the Earth wasn't the center of the univerese but that it orbited around the sun. So he was put into prison, and then house arrest for the rest of his life.
  • Death of Gailieo, and birth of Newton

    On this day on 2 of the most revolutionary people in science,Sir Isaac Newton, was born and Galileo Galilei died.Galileo died on january 8th, and Newton was born on December 25th
