  • French & Indean war

    French & Indean war
    The war was over land and trading routes. Both the French and the British wanted the Ohio River Valley. It lasted 7 years and the British won. It’s important because it kicked the French out of North America and it caused all the acts to pay off the war.
  • Proclamation Line

    The settlers kept moving west and it was causing problems with the natives. So the king come in and said that they couldn’t move past the Appaltion Mountains. The king thought that a mountain range would be obvious and would do a good job holding in the colonist. Because it upset the colonist and they didn’t listen to it. The king will send over 20,000 more men and make people house them and taxes went even higher so the king could pay the troops.

    This was when the king said that the colonist had to take in British soldiers and feed and house them. The colonist had no choose but to take them in. This happened because people where not staying east of the proclamation line so the king sent 20,000 more men over and had nowhere to house people but in the colonist houses.
  • Boston Masacre

    Boston Masacre
    The Boston Massacre was when a mob of 200 protesting colonist gathered in Boston and they get into an argument with 14 British soldiers. They taunted the British and threw ice balls and other things at them. The British fired at them the British where afraid for their life there wasn’t much they could do to stop 200 people. 5 people were killed. This gave the Americans a reason to hate the British more. This was the first colonial bloodshed which made them want independence.
  • Boston Tea Party

    That night Americans boarded a British ship that had tea on it in the Boston harbor. Some of them dressed as natives. They were protesting the tea act the king had set. They had a problem being taxed by someone they did not elect. The dumped 1 million dollars of the king’s tea into the Boston Harbor. This is so important because it led to the intolerable acts and the revolution.
  • Lexington & Concord

    Lexington & Concord
    Lexington and Concord was when the British landed in a marsh and tried to march into Boston. Paul Revere saw them coming and road through Boston and other towns near Boston saying the British are comeing.This gave Americans a chance to get together. The Americans where hiding and they would shot the guy in the back of the marching line. They killed more British then Americans. This was important because it was the first armed conflict and the 2nd contintal congress.
  • Declaration of indenpendence

    Declaration of indenpendence
    Declaration of independence was adopted by Continental congress. It was Declaring indepence from Great Britin.Written primarily by Thomas Jefferson. It was signed by many important people like Benjamin Franklin, john and Sam Adams, John Hancock, Robert Paine, and Thomas Jefferson. This was during the revolution. It is so important because it’s what made America Independent.
