  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    It started out as colonists fighting for their rights. The British did not agree with what they were doing and one of the British soldiers fired a shot and killed one of the colonists. Anger reacted because no one knew who fired. That night the British killed five colonists.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    It started out as a goup of men calling themselves, "Sons of Liberty." To be under cover the men dressed up as Indians, so they would not be caught. The men boarded three ships and before the night was over they dumped 45 tons of tea powder into the harbor.
  • Battle of Lexington & Concord

    Battle of Lexington & Concord
    The beginning of the battle started in Lexington, Massachusetts. The British commander sent out his troops to arrest Samuel Adams and John Handcock the two main leaders. Paul Revere came and told the two men what was about to happen so they escaped. The British got there and no one could be found since of the announcment Paul made.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The battle took place on the Peninsula of Charlestown. The British were in a battle with the American Continental Army. The number of both teams combined to about 4,000 people. In the end the British ended up with the defeat.

    The battle was takeing place for possesion of New York City and New Jersey. Howe took his men and defeated Washington. The British held the claim of New York for the rest of the war.

    Before the Declaration was final the the Continental Congress had to approve of it and the did. 2 days before it was signed Congress had to vote on it. Five guys signed the Declaration.
  • Battle of Trenton

    The battle was fought in with three groups. One group was the Hessian soldiers, Washington side and the third was not named because they never crossed the river. The Americans won the battle.

    The battle involved British fighting against us Americans. The night of the 2nd of January us Americans started attacking on the British. During the battle Washington's men spilt up into two groups. We ended up winning the battle.

    The war began on the Hudson River in New York City.
  • Valley Forge

    The battle started in December of 1777 and ended in June of 1778 almost a whole year this battle went on for. Every troop was freezing, dieing, or very ill. The sickness at the camps were spreading rapidly. The sickness at that time was smallpox which was spreading. Also there were people that had frost bite. The Americans won with George Washington as their commander.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    I found October 19th was the end of the war when the British surrendered. The war started in September. Americans and the French were on the same side, but they were battling against the British. Americans had more than 8,000 men the French had more than 7,000 and the little British force had around 6,000 men slim chances for them to win. We won the battle of the help of the French also.

    Treaty of Paris (the one that ended the Revolutionary War)
    The Treaty was the document that ended the Revolutionary War. The Treaty was signed by the guys. The document refering to the new nation it made Britians troops leave the new nation and go back home.
