this amendement stated that anybody born or raised in the US was a citizen and no state could set a law to undo that -
Transcontinental Railroad is FINISHED!!!!
The railroad is completed and allows people to export and import goods benifting the industry. Economy was increasing and the bussinesses were good and more jobs were opened to the people (like fixing the railroad). -
15th Amendment passed
this amendment allowed african americans the right to vote and anyone else of different race. -
The EnFORCEment Act!
The act was made in order to protect African Americans and have them treated equally, after the fourteenth amendment was ratifed. -
The Civil Rights Act!!!
A federal law was pass that was suppose to guarantee that everyone had equal treatment despite their race, color, or religion, Although the act was pass many did not agree nor abide by it. This Act caused a mass of controversy. -

This period of time from the 1800-1900's presented changes in agriculture, manufacturing, transport, technology etc.that took place worldwide. This affected population, economy, and trade. -
The Berlin Conference
A Conference that regulated European colonization and trade in Africa during the time of"New Imperialism". members from 14 states attended to claim their part of the continent resulting in 50 irregular countries and a destruction within potential forms of government. -

This policy allowed the US equal access to China's consumers. As a result of this a group called the "Boxers" started a rebellion in 1900 and massacred killing about 300 foreigners and Christians. -

A group of chinese outraged by the open door policy set out to make a group called the "Boxers". The Boxers then formed an rebillion in an attempt to run foriegners out of China. -

The 18 Amendment was ratified and prohibited the manufacture, sale and importation of intoxicating liquours. This caused a lot of smuggling and effectd a lot of people until the 21st amendment was made and put into full effect immediately. -
