    The invention of the battery was by Count Alessandro Volta in 1800. This changed communication as we know it today because the Battery is used to power many communication devices as we know it today.

After the first telegraphs were invented, Samuel Morse devised code using long and short sounds, or "dots and dashes" to represent each letter of the alphabet. It's one of the first telegraphs invented and without it we wouldnt have a phone to this day.
