    Born On November 24, 1989, I was born two weeks late at St. Anthony's hospital in Denver Colorado. I was born to Edward and Marie Shelefontiuk. My family decided to give baby gifts and everything had tweety bird on it.

    The gulf war began on Aug. 2, 1990. The country of Iraq invaded the small country of Kuwait and began a mass killing of the inocent citizens there. The UN security council with United States and United Kingdom Troops spearheading the attack. The action ended in 1995 with Saddam leaving Kuwait.

    In the country of Rwanda a massive Genocide that lasted 100 days. the effect was devistating and little to no one bbut the people within the country knew about it. Armed with Machettes and few rifles the Hutus started to slaughter Tutsis. Convinced that this would solve their countries problems they followed through. Little to no UN involvment saved this from happening. The government used the radio as well to premote the killing of tutsis.

    Eric and Dylan, students at the Columbine high school in Colorado, entered their highschool with explosives and set their timers. the eplosives failed and when that happened they set loose killing 12 students and a single teacher. In the end taking their lives in the library. they had caused damage to the entire school in the end and wounded twice what they killed.

    I joined the Foothills Young Marines in 2000. I graduated the bootcamp on May 12. The bootcamp was thirteen weeks long for every saturday. The group premoted a no drug abuse polocy and taught self disciplin. The Young Marines is sponsored by the Marine Corps League.

    On Teusday Sep. 11, 2001. The United States for the first time since WWII was attacked by a foreign country. At 8:46 a.m. the World Trade Center, The north tower, was struck by a passenger plane. Shortly after a second plane hit the second tower. Not long after both collapsed. A comfirmed death toll of 2,998 innocent people.

    On october 11, 2002, congress gave the ok to begin moving troops into Iraq and initiate threatening movements. Without this ok troops can do nothing unless their lives are in eminent danger amongst a foreign country. Being a law of war, a country cannot attack another without first declairing war.

    On October 19, 2001 troops marched into Afghanistan in response to 9-11. The soldiers moving into Afghanistan were and still are searching for head leaders of the terrorist group responsible including Osama Bin Laden. The war in this particular country is now dyeing down and less known about but still clearly present.

    Seargetn First Class Brett Eugene Walden, 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), died in Iraq. My aunt's husband, Brett, had been driving down a road in a convoy behind the lead hummer's machine gun while on a road to Rubiah, Iraq. Brett had served two tours in Afghanistan, and this was his fourth and last tour in Iraq.
