Lexington/ ConcordBritain's General Gage sent out British soldier to capture Samuel Adams and John Hancock. Word got out and when the British arrived they were met by 70 minutemen on the Lexington green. The British then went on to Concrod but were also met by Americans who forced them to retreat towards Boston.
Breed's HillAmerican Force under Artemis Ward enchenched themselves at Breed's Hill. British troops under William Howe charged the hill three times, the third time they took the hill because the Americans were low on amunition, but lost 1000 troops in the process.
