The discovery of oil in Texas got thousands of people excited and determined to find oil. The rush to drill brought one company, The Gladys City Oil Company, to strike at Spindletop, TX. The rig spewed for two days before it could be capped due to extreeme pressure. Oil will fund education and faminies for years to come.

In a matter of months, the world is at war.
