First day at school
The chauffeur took Adeline's brothers to St John's Academy and forgot about her. The cook had no choice but to fetch her to school on his bike. No one picked her up after school and she tried heading back home but got lost. In the end, she called father, using a restaurant's phone and he drove her back home. -
Tram fare
The children were not given pocket money or tram fare so they had to walk to school which was far from where they stayed. They had to admit their past mistakes to recieve their tram fare from Niang. In the end, everyone admitted one by one, except Adeline who refused to do so. -
Chinese New Year
Niang displayed favouritism towards her own children that Adeline and her siblings planned to tell their father but Niang overheard and recruited big sister to her 'side'. -
In Shanghai
Adeline went to a boarding school and won first place in the Children's Writing Competition. -
PLT
Mr and Mrs Huang visited Adeline's family and gave each child a chick. Adeline named her chick Precious Little Treasure. She cared and loved it a lot. However, it died when Jackie killed it. Adeline was devastated. -
In Hong Kong
Niang's older sister brought Adeline to Hong Kong to her father's house, along with her children, Victor and Claudine. Adeline went to a boarding school. -
Play-writing Competition
Adeline entered a play-writing competition and dedicated her entry to Ye Ye. Unfortunately, Ye Ye passed away before the winners were announced. -

Adeline was surprised to be summoned to Father's new house, only to find out that she had won the first prize worth fifty English pounds. -
Deciding Adeline's future
After learning that she had won, Adeline asked for permission to study literature in England. Instead, Father demanded that she got to medical school and specialise in obstetrics and she agreed to it. -
