    A bill that set aside federally controlled land specifically for the institution of colleges devoted to giving a "practical and scientific" education.
  • Morrill act #2

    Another bill proposed by Justin Smith Morrill (the same person who proposed the Land Grant College Act) that provided extra help for colleges teaching agriculture and mechanics.
