Brown Vs Board of Education
In Brown v. Board of Education, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled unanimously that racial segregation in public schools violated the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution. The 1954 decision declared that separate educational facilities for white and African American students were unequal and unfair. -

Martin Luther King Jr. led a march from Selma to Montgomery Alabama. It was peaceful and changed history forever. This was their way to voice their opinion in a peaceful way, without violence. It inspired people for years to come and influenced the movement greatly. -
Vietnam antiwar protest
As antiwar protests grow, Johnson and American military leaders increase reliance on "search-and-destroy" missions in an effort to draw the Viet Cong into battles and inflict heavy casualties. But the Viet Cong prove difficult to pin down. By year's end, 6,000 American soldiers have died. -
Moon Landing
The best thing that came from the 60's was the moon landing. The United State's Apollo 11 was the first to land on the moon. It gave everyone hope since all they had experienced in the past decade was war and terror. -
Peace Agreement
A group of men who had served in the conflict and called themselves the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. America's combat role in Vietnam came to an official end with the peace agreement signed in early 1973.
