    Mr Rafael Molano started to sell cakes to his colleague in the Bavaria company. His wife made the cakes with the original recipe that her mother in law gave her. The cakeswere delicious and everybody wanted to buy them. This is the way traditional Ramo Cakes story started.

    Mr Rafael Molano started to sell in a little store, and with the help of a baker decided to cut the cake in portions. Ms Ana Luisa tied the cakes with a white ribbon and made a bow as decoration. This event inspired the home made company´s name.

    Mr Rafael Molano asked for a loan and started massive production on carrera 33 with the 6 street with the technical cooperation of Dr Alvaro Iregui. As a result the company sold two new products: Ramito and Gala´s cakes.

    The Ramo Company expanded and open a new branch in Antioquia

    As the demand increased and Mr Rafael had to build a new production plant in Mosquera (Cundinamarca). Nowadays, this is one of the most important industrial zones in the country.

    It´s a great year for the company to launch more products: Achiras, Colaciones Ramo, and cookies. In addition they lauched Chocorramo, which is one of the most popular at the moment.

    Mr Rafael created the avinsa farm, to produce his own raw materials. Today more that 600.000 chikens produce most of the eggs the company needs and also produce the special food to feed the chickens.

    Mr Rafael inspired in the Chinese tricycles, and improved them adding a wagon at de back of the tricyle, in this way he innovated the distribution system in Colombia, making it more economical and efficient.

    The Ramo Company opened a new branch in Palmira (Valle del Cauca).

    The Ramo Company launched ramo bread, as a new product.

    The Ramo Company launched del chiras product line, Tostacos and Maizitos, as the first snacks in Colombia.

    Appear new products in the market as Barra de Chocorramo, Gansito y Ponqué Felicidades.

    Mr Rafael bougth the Mercedes windmill to process the wheat to produce the flour to make the cakes, cookies and bread.

    The product line is complemented with the Mogolla and brown bread.

    The Ramo Company lauched Ramo chocolate cake and white cake.

    During the first semester appeared new products:
    Gansito Mora y Arequipe y Gansito de Chocolate.
    For the second semester they also launched:
    Ramitos Frutos Rojos y Ramitos Frutos Amarillos, Galletas Artesanas de Trigo Entero y Trigo Entero con Miel Natural, Ponqué Ramo de Nuez y Chocoramo Mini.
