    Holocaust - WWII

    Beginning in June 1941, Einsatzgruppen was given new responsibilities and authorized mobile killing units. The killing units job was to go in towns behind the military and round up the Jews to take them outside of the town and kill them. An estimated one million Jews were killed by Einsatzgruppen. European Jews were annihilated by death camps. The Holocaust killed 5 to 6 million Jews and more than 3 million of those Jews died in death camps.
