    Pearl Harbor Raid
Japanese released an attack at the U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. At least 2,400 Americans were dead, 21 ships damagaed, and 188 U.S. aircraft destroyed. Here I am lying on the cold dark ground. I don''t know if I can move but I do know that I can think. I wish I could help my fellow soldiers. I'm scared. It all happened so fast and so loud and distructive. I hope they find me.
  • Japanese American Internment

    Japanese American Internment
    Chronology of Japanese American Internment
U.S. was attacked by the Japanese which resulted in stricter travel, gun control, banks, buisnesnesses for suspected enemy "aliens". I cannot believe I have to go through all this. Yes, I am Japanese but that doesn't mean I want to attack everyone. I just want to get on this plane and visit my family in California. This is so stressful and unneccesary for all of us.
  • Japanese Relocation

    Japanese Relocation
    <a href=/http://historymatters.gmu.edu/d/5154/' >Executive Order 9066</a>
Roosevelt’s Executive Order 9066 gave the military broad powers to ban any citizen from a fifty- to sixty-mile-wide coastal area stretching from Washington state to California and extending inland into southern Arizona. These drastic measures need to be taken! I as the president of the U.S. need to reassure all Americans they will be safe after this attack. I will go to any measure to make sure this happens.

I think she misses my dad but I'm sure he'll back soon. Guards took him away. We've been sitting in this cold dark room for awhile now. I just want to go back home.

    President Signs Public Law 503
Created for War Relocation Authority to assist person evacuated by the military under Executive Order No. 9066. This is like the thrid piece of paper that I have signed so far to protect our country. I wonder what all of the citiziens are thinking about me right now. Do they think I have failed as a president? I hope not. I am trying my best.

Japanese can test their loyalty to the U.S.
WRA decided to test the loyalty of the imprisoned Japanese and offered them the ability to enlist in a segregated army for the U.S. This is my one shot to freedom hopefully! I may be Japanese but I will prove my innocence and loyalty to the United States. I've always been scared of the wat but it beats sitting in these camps wasting my life away.

Japanese internment camps are closedThe WRA announced that all internment camps would be closed before the end of 1945 and the entire WRA program would be liquidated on June 30, 1946. Thank you Lord! Only one more year and I'm free! Me only being 11 and having to live in this horrible lifestyle has resulted in a terrible childhood. Hopefully when I get out I can start all over.
  • Japan has surrendered

    Japan has surrendered
    VJ-DAY
Japan had surrendered unconditionally to the Allies, effectively ending World War II. I can't believe I was apart of such a definin moment in history. Me, a soldier that fought in VJ-Day. This is something my kids will be proud of and can tell their kids. Wow. Weird to be finally home and relaxing. I'm so bless, thank you God.
