    Warren G. Harding becomes the president of the United States
  • Emergency Immigration Act

    This act was used as a buffer for lawmakers in order to create the National Origins act in 1924. This act only allowed 2% of the number of immigrants from the same country living in America in 1890. This caused newer immigrants from Eastern Europe to be excluded. This act completely excluded the Asians.
  • Joseph Stalin

    Stalin is appointed the General Secretary of the Communist Party.
  • The Revenue Act

    Established the US Board of Tax Appeals, later renamed The United States Tax Court, and cut federal tax rates.
