On August 8th of 1920, the 19th amendment was ratified. This granted women many freedoms and rights. This stated that no woman be denied of any opportunities based on their sex.

Congress passed an immigration restriction. This targeted all immigrants that may have raised panic or made the citizens uncomfertable. This let in a genreous amounbt of people form Northern and western europe.

This event included two Italian immigrants with the names of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. They were accused ofoa crime and sentenced to death. Some say that it may have been two other men that looked like them, but in that time being it was easier to blame it on the two men. They were "untrustworthy" immigrants.

Congress passes the Fordney-McCumber Tariff which raised tariffs to benefit the market for American manufactures. The raise of the tariffs helped boost the economy in the 20's. Although it effected all the European countries in a negative way.

Warden G. Harding found dead in a San Francisco hotel room. This causes a massive sadness in the community. This will soon effect the future of the people.

John Scopes was arrested for teaching evolution which violated the new state law that banned the teaching of Darwin's theory. This created a clash between science and religion and wether which one to believe or not. Scopes was soon put on trial and found guilty of the teachings.

A white supremacies march filled with 40,000 white hooded klans members was held in washington. This march was held to support, praise, and bring awareness to the white supremacy. This caused a panic and sort of fear to set in with the black communities and others that were mainly targeted by the KKK

Aviator Charles Lindbergh completes the first solo transatlantic flight, landing his Spirit of Saint Louis in Paris 33 hours after departing from New York. Lindbergh becomes a national hero.

American hero Babe Ruth hits his 60th home run of the season breaking his own personal record of 59. This record is held for the next 30 years in baseball history.
