Weekend Recap November 9th-11th

  • Falcon ACHA Hockey vs. Marian

    The ACHA Hockey team battled an undefeated Marian team at home at the Ozaukee Ice Center Friday where they were defeated 11-0. The Falcons were coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to Illinois State the past Saturday.
  • Falcon Men's Hockey vs. St. Scholastica

    The CUW Men's Hockey team traveled to St. Scholastica Friday to take on the Saints. The Falcons were defeated 4-2 after conceding two goals in the third period. The Falcon's goals were scored by Nick Guerra and Stefen Steel. Sophomore Goalie Dakota Delbridge had 33 saves on the night for the Falcons.
  • Falcon Women's Cross Country at NCAA D3 Regional Championship

    The CUW Women's Cross Country team also ran at the NCAA D3 Regional Championships this Saturday, and finished in 24th place overall as a team. Senior Molly Wirtz led the way for the Falcons with a 97th place overall finish by clocking a time of 24:20.
  • Falcon Men's Hockey vs. Northland

    In the second game of their weekend road-trip, the Falcons faced off against Northland in Ashland. At the halfway point in the second period the Falcons led 2-1, but were eventually defeated 4-2 after a late 3 goal run by the Lumberjacks. CUW's two goals were scored by Senior Connor Hogg and Sophomore Brayden Barker.
  • Falcon ACHA Hockey vs. Marian

    The Falcons played their second consecutive game against Marian Saturday at the Ozaukee Ice Center. CUW fell once again to the Sabres 9-1. The Lone Falcon goal of this game was scored by Benny Serres in the second Period. The Falcon's record falls to 5-11 for the season after this defeat.
  • Falcon Football vs. Wisconsin Lutheran

    CUW Football took on Wisconsin Lutheran Saturday at Tomasini Stadium for the Luther Cup and a possible chance to claim the NACC championship. The Falcons were victorious by a final score of 21-14 and reclaimed the Luther Cup from WLC. After a victory by conference opponent Eureka however, the Falcons finished in second place in the NACC, and their season came to an end. The Falcons also honored their nine seniors before the game, and thanked them for their commitment to the program.
  • Falcon Women's Hockey vs. Marian

    The CUW Women's Hockey team also took the ice this Saturday vs. Marian in Fond Du Lac. Marian entered this game with a 0-4 record, and the Falcons entered the game at 2-2. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, giving each team their first tie of the season. The two goals from the Falcons were scored by Natasha Wanless and Kristen Kennedy.
  • CUW Wrestlling at the Miliken Open

    The Falcon Wrestling team competed in their second tournament of the year on Saturday in Decatur, IL. at the Miliken open. Senior Eric Martinson finished in 1st place in the 165 pound bracket finishing 4-0 on the day. Other notable finishers were Alex Montbriand who finished 3rd also in the 165 pound bracket, and Merrick O'Donnell who placed 7th in the 184 pound bracket. The Falcons next competition will take place on Friday at home in the R. John Buuck Field House.
  • Falcon Men's Cross Country at NCAA D3 Regionals

    The CUW Men's Cross Country team competed in the NCAA D3 Regional Championships this Saturday. They finished in 27th place as a team out of the 35 teams that competed. They were led by Junior Craig Reese with a time of 25:49. This wraps up the season for the Falcons after their 3rd place finish in the NACC, the best since 2011.
  • Falcon Women's Hockey vs. Marian

    The CUW Women's Hockey team once again played Marian Sunday in Fond Du Lac. After a disappointing tie on Saturday, the Falcons defeated Marian 6-2 in a game where five different Falcons found the back of the net. The Falcons record improved to 3-2-1 as they left Marian still searching for their first victory of the season.
