    The Industrial Revolution began in England because of its natural resources, the government supported business, and there was a lot of private investment. England also used the sea to their advantage. They had the largest navy and the most merchant ships.

    James Watt improved the steam engine after it was invented in 1712. In 1800, over 500 of Watt's steam engines were being used in factories throughout England.

    A priest named Father Hildago stated that Mexico needed to gain Independence. They wanted to gain Independce from Spain. Originally Iturbide sided with Spain, but then switched because he thought the revolution in Spain would steal his power. Itribude later became the emperor of Mexico.

    The Dynamo was Invented by Michael Faraday. The machine made electricity. He used it to power an electric motor, which eventually lead to the development of electrical generators.

    The rebellion was led by Hong Xiuquan, who thought he was Jesus's brother. He wanted a kingdom of "Heavenly Great Peace." In this kingdom, no one would be poor.

    Indian soldiers that fought in the British Army were called Sepoys. The rifle cartridges they had to bite the ends off were greased in pork and beef fat. The sepoys were Muslim and Hindu. Muslims dont eat pork, and Hindus dont eat beef so this greatly bothered them. Eventually a rebellion started.

    Das Kapital was a three part work on why Capitalism was bad. He believed it disrupts the relationship between profit and labor. Marx thought that socialism would get rid of all the worlds injustices.

    During the Tokugawa period, the emperor was basically a symbolic figure. The supreme military leader which was the shogun was in charge. In the meiji restoation they forced the shogun to step down and put the emperor back in charge.

    It began because boxers wanted to restore Chinese glory. The Boxers were a secret organization that practiced martial arts training, hated foreginers and thought they were invincible when it came to foregin weapons. Boxers began killing missionaries and chinese christain converts.

    Japan built an empire in the west and believed Russia would be a threat to the plans. Japan attacked and beat Russia. Russia was shocked and called for more calls for change.

    Franz Ferdinad was the archduke of Austria. He went to visit Sarajevo, where a lot of people were still bitter about Austrain rule. The duke and his wife Sophie were shot and killed by Gavrilo Princip.
