Along the way they encountered Sacagawea who helped extremely as they explored upper Missouri. In 1806 they were running out of supplies and starving, lasting 28 months. Were the led the United States to claim the Oregon Country.

They boarded the ship killing 3 Americans and taking others captive. It was so insulting that Jefferson almost called for war.

The Creeks had split into the Upper Creeks ( opposed American expansion) and the Lower Creeks ( sided with Americans). On August 30, Upper Creeks attacked Lower Creeks and Andrew Jackson was furious. Occurring in 1814 on peninsula on Tallapoosa River, Jackson, his Cherokee, and Creek Allies surrounded the Upper Creeks and set fire. Killing many Indians where eventually the Treaty of Fort Jackson was signed.
