    Proclamation of 1763
    This proclamation came as a surprise to the settlers that they would not expand the colonies westward into the frotier. For fear that the french had pinned the Native Americans against them.This also brought in three new colonies: East Florida, West Florida, Grenada(off shore) and Quebec which was well settled by french. The colonist grew angry at this proclamation for it prevented them from expanding their land westward.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar act inforced a new age of taxes on sugar, mollassas and other imports. This angered the colonists for even though some taxes were lowered there were still taxes and in Mr. Hamiltons words "They were Pissed."
  • Currency act of 1764

    The currency act was a decreement by the british parliment that they would be taking over control of the colonies currency printing. This was because british traders were uncomfortable with the current currency and how it seemed each of the colonies had its own distinct currency printing. Parliment favored the Pound shilling system. The colonists protested to this calling it saying thatm the shortage of hard capital would further exacerbate the situation.

    The stamp act was a tax past by parliment basically saying that every paper used by the colonists would be requiered to have a highlyy taxed stamp on it. The money raised from this would go towards the soldiers defending the frontier. This particular act really made the colonists cring with anger, it was not so much the tax itself but how the tax was only there for one purpose , to raise money not to maintain commerce as it had in the passed but a soul purpose of raising money.
  • Quartering act of 1775

    The quartering act brought over british soildiers in the colonies to "protect" the colonists. These men required "quarters" and a lot of them. This made the colonists need to pay more taxes to build new quarters/military bases for them.

    The stamp act Congress was a formal meeting in New york in attendence nine colonies represented by 27 congressmen. These representatives brought to paper (of which was taxed no doubt) 14 well thought out ammendments to whivh were in the form of a complaint to his majesty the king anfd those in parliment opposing the stamp act.
  • Declatory act of 1766

    The declaratory act and stamp act are usually confused although similar are two different things. After paliment repealed the stamp act in 1766 they came out with the declaratory act which stated that they could make any discition they wanted as long as it was for the better of the empire. The colonists were too overjoyed at the stamp act being overturned that they did not see the significance of the declaratory act and how it would effect them in the oncoming years.
  • Townstead act of 1767

    The townstead act was even more taxes for the colonies by parliment. The british had pushed too far this time they taxed the lead, the oil, the paint, the glass and more. This act uncovered the anger from the stamp act. This lead to multiple protests across the colonies from Nova scotia to Boston
