    Stono Rebellion

    The rebellion was a major uprising by the enslaved Africans in South Carolina. The rebellion consisted of around sixty enslaved Africans. Half of the Africans were killed by English and the rest escaped to Florida. This rebellion led to the Negro Act of 1740. Picture Cite

    1756-1763, also called the French and Indian war. It started between the British and French dispute over the land in the Ohio River Valley.     From 176-1787, Shay rebellion took place in the rural parts of Massachusetts. Ex-revolutionary soldiers that had became farmers after the war made up most of the rebels.     When Hamilton put a tax on distilled spirits, it outraged poor farmers. Groups of angry farmers began to attack federal tax collectors and marshals.
