Was sparked when French and British were competing for Indian Lands in Ohio River Valley. On July 3, 1754 Washington and his troop attacked the French, resulting in Washington surrendering, Until two years later when a World War was started.

Province of Louisiana was New Spain consisting of the Mississippi River and New Orleans. It had originally been controlled by the France but Spain gained control of it from the Treaty of Frontainebleau.

Signed in February 1763 , giving British control of French territories east of the Mississippi River. France was left with no territory in North America making Britain the most powerful empire in the world.

The Proclamation Act of 1763 was passed that drew an imaginary line along the crest of Appalachian Mountains from Canada to Georgia. Saying Americans forbidden to go past the line or settle on it, trying to create peace with the Indians. But people did not listen and settled on the Natives land anyways.

The Sugar Act placed a tax on sugar, wines, coffee, and spices being imported into America. The Currency Act consisted of Colonies making/ printing their own money, while requiring all all payments for British goods to be in gold or silver coins. The quartering Act made colonist house and provide supplies for soldiers.The Stamp Act put a tax on American goods, requiring colonist to buy paper from London with an official stamp. All imposed by Grenville in 1764 and 1765.

British soldiers were being heckled by the Americans. On March 5,1770 Boston boys began throwing icicles at Hugh White causing a big ruckus. Other soldiers began to arrive to help and 9 British soldiers ended up dying. In late April Parliament repealed Townshend duties, except the tea tax.

When Lord North tried to help East India Company, Parliament passed the Tea Act to allow the company to send the tea directly to America. The price of the cheap tea was a trick for the colonist to accept taxation. So on December 16, 1773 Patriots dressed up as Mohawk Indians, boarded British cargo ships and dumped 342 chest of tea into the Harbor.

September 5, 1774, 55 delegates from 12 colonies gathered in Philadelphia. Endorsing the Suffolk Resolves , so that colonist made their allegiance to the king while also saying to resist British tyranny with force. Congress adopted Continental Association of 1774. But more and more people kept refusing the authority of Parliament.

Lord North convinced Parliament to pass Coercive Acts in order to punish Boston. Consisting of the Port Acts which closed off Boston Harbor until the city paid for the tea that had been loss. Resulting in people loosing there jobs and causing consumer goods to raise in price. Along with a new Quartering Act that provided logging and supplies for British soldiers. The Impartial Administration of Justice Arts said that any royal official that was being prosecuted would be prosecuted in London.

Was a result of Taxation Acts, the Boston Massacre, Intolerable Acts, and the Boston Tea Party. Was a time when colonist felt they were being treated unfairly and wanted to revolt against high taxes and other things they felt were unfair. It resulted in many British colonies denying British rule.

On July 2nd, 1776 Congress voted to declare independence. Thomas Jefferson wrote it and tt announced the separation of the colonies from Great Britain .

George Washington becomes the first president of the United States of America. After attending the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia the delegates decided they wanted Washington to lead there new country.
