    That was a problem because people had lost their family to make products so the product was being made too much so people would not by it. That was until the new president roosevelt with the power of the federal government to make more jobs for the people. Incolustion the economy was verry bad for many in the United States.THe depression started in October 29, 1929 to 1939.

    The great depression affected everyone, but the blacks had it the worst.By 1932, half of the black population were out of work. African Americans would get fired as long as there were whites out of work.This was a case of racism and hate towards the blacks. the most common place to have these conflicts was the south, with lynching that had grew more common. Black voting changed when Franklin Roosevelt changed the voting patterns by getting the African Americans on his side.

    In the time of the 1930’s women and men were not equal. Men would get very high paying jobs and respect for being a man but a women would either not work and stay at home or get a low paying job like assistant or secretary.Men even had better rights like voting. Men were able to go and vote after the normal age of 18 but women had to wait until they were 30 years old! The most difference between man and women is respect.     World War Two in Europe began on 3rd September 1939, when the Prime Minister of Britain, Neville Chamberlain, declared war on Germany. It involved many of the world's countries. The Second World War was started by Germany in an unprovoked attack on Poland. By the end of the war over 60million people would be dead.

    The economy of the 1930 to 1940 was really bad because great depression hit and very few people had money or jobs. Aslo the because there was too much stuff and not enough people to buy them. In addition 15 million people were unemployed.this was bad because people would lose their homes and would be homeless. Furthermore, World war one had its effects in it started the depression people began to lose employment and they became less educated.
  • World was Two ( USA involvement )

    On September 16, 1940, the United States instituted the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940, which required all men between the ages of 21 and 45 to register for the draft. This was the first peacetime draft in United States' history. The peace didn't last long thought when the Japanese bombed the American fleet in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941. This would also make the United States join in on WW2.

    In the mid 1930's and 1940's race was a big problem facing blacks in United States. Black men and women were considered lower class. They were fired so then unemployed white men could take their place. Also the jobs that they did get where underpaid and under terrible work conditions."Blacks" were discriminated in the military. Whites believed they were "not fit to serve." This was only the beginning of the racial injustices in the US.
