Sarah Burress's Timeline

  • Birth

    Sarah's mom had to go through her first physical profile. The doctors said that they got to do a emergency c section because she wasn't moving or breathing. It was stormy and rainy. She was born into infancy at St. Mary's hospital. She was 2 lds and i ounce.
  • I want mom

    Sarah's mom had to go to work that. Sarah couldn't sleep at all. She cried and screamed so loud that her grandparents didn't know what to do. Grandma called her mother to come back home, Sarah was able to go to sleep when her mom was there. Sarah witnessed separation anxiety. She felt uneasynwhen her mom, the caregiver, wasn't there.
  • Turning 2

    At 1 1/2 Sarah started walking and when she got to 2 she was potty trained. She was going through Occupational therapy and physical therapy.
  • New Home

    Sarah's mother bought a new house. Sarah moved from her grandma's house to her own. Living in the house she was able to meet her best friend/next door neighbor, Abby Rizen. When she met her their dog, Daisy, bit Sarah's wrist and had to go to the hospital to see if it had done any damage but she turned out fine. Being bit in the hand was caused as a relex reaction. She learned to not get bitten by dogs.
  • Kindergarten

    Sarah Burress went to Harper elementary for kindergarten. She did not continue going on to 1st grade because her mom didn't believe that school was a good environment for her. Sarah restarted kindergarten (even though she past) at Christ the King. Sarah's mom became on authortarian to have Sarah obey to go to a new school and repeat kindergarten.
  • During Kindergarten

    During Kindergarten, Sarah felt uneasy around all the kids. They were kids she had never seen before in her life, She had stranger anxiety. Sarah acted out in class in order to get attention from her peers. She knew it didn't work. She still felt uncomfortable around them.
  • First Dog

    Sarah's mom brought home a dog from work. Her name was Sassy and the reason why mom brought her home was because the owner couldn't take her to move to Florida with her, She was a shy and quiet dog. Sarah loved her so much. Since she was her first dog Sarah loved to pet Sassy a lot. She felt contact comfort because she wanted to pet Sassy for her soft fur, She hardly ever pet a dog since she never had one of her own before.
  • Peer Pressure

    During 5th grade year, Sarah made a friend at Christ the King. She was someone that pressured Sarah into not wearing a jacket jacket she liked a lot because she had to be the one to wear the jean jacket. Without knowing it, Sarah bought the same type of shoes as hers but different colors. She told Sarah not to wear those shoes and she did. Sarah was peer pressured by this girl to not wear specific clothes because her friend though Sarah was copying her when she wasn't.
  • Mary Ann

    Sarah made a fake paper doll named Mary Ann. She took it to school, stores, and even had it next to her in bed. Her 4th grade teacher even lamenated it for Sarah. Even though Mary Ann wasn't a person, Sarah had an emotional attachement to it.
  • 1st Period

    In band class, Sarah and the other students were playing new songs for the new semester. After playing a song, Sarah asked to go to the bathroom. When she got there she noticed that she started menstrating. She had her first menarche.
  • CTK Kids

    The kids in the Christ the KIng were one crowd of people. There were 22 kids everyone talked to each other and were friends. They all shared attitudes and had a group identity. Sarah was not a part of their group and had a couple friends at the school. She believed that she did not have the same attitudes or identities as her classmates.
  • Soul Searching

    In 8th grade, Sarah didn't understand who she was as a person. She was trying to figure out her identity. The 22 kids that she went to school with since kindergarten were very different from her. No one listened to the same music as her or watched the same shows. She was experienceing identify moratorium. She didn't know where she belonged or if there was people who were similar to her.
  • Muffy

    When Sassy died a couple of months later Sarah and her mom went and got a new dog named Muffy. When entering the VHS when she first saw her, Sarah knew she was the dog she wanted. When going into the play room Muffy got excited and started to jumo and lick her. At homr Muffy always followed Sarah and went to bed with Sarah. Muffy imprinted on Sarah. Muffy had a strong attachment towards Sarah.
  • News from the Doctor

    When Sarah got to my doctor for a yearly checkup he told her that she only grew a half inch. heHe was telling her that on the chart he had that even though s wasn't growing a lot that her growth was following how his chart went. He told her that she won't grow anymore. Sarah had never had a growth spurt. She didn't grow a lot at a specific time just gradually.
  • Identity Found

    As a senior in high school, Sarah figured out who her real friends are than the ones that are just friends. She figured out what she wants to do with her life. She experienced identity achievement. She figured out the person she is and who she wants to be in the future.
