    The Volstead Act established a ban on alcohol. 1,500 officers we're assigned to cover 18,700 miles regulating the absence of alcohol. This didn't work out very well.

    18th Amendment
    The 18th Amendment was the execution of alcohol use. Prohibition sparked a rise in organised crime. Al Capone was a Chicago gangster, who controled the illegal alcohol monopoly.
  • Palmer Raids

    Palmer Raids
    The governments way of removing radicals, mainly anarchists. They arrested 500 immigrants, without trial.
  • Sacco and Vanzetti trial

    Sacco and Vanzetti trial
    Two italian men were accused of killing during a payroll robbery. These men were proven in multiple ways innocent, but were killed anyways.
  • 19th Amendment

    19th Amendment
    Suffrage to women was made final. Finalizing the obvious note women have evolved, and "come out" in the 1920's.

    Similar to the Espionage Act, arrested those who were susspected of being communists, socialist, or anarchists.

    The Teapot Dome Scandal; Albert B. Fall allowed 2 large oil companys to claim this public land, letting 400,000 dollars to fall into Fall's hands. This land which was for the U.S. Navy, but it was rented out to these companys.

    Scopes was arrested because he taught about cells, and was immediately arrested. The ACLU appointed Clarence Darrow to represent John T. Scopes as promised. He lost the trial.

    Charles was the first to get across the ocean. He left New York and ended up in Paris, to loads of fans. Lindbergh was an idol to the people of the 1920s

    The crash was caused because of easy to get credit, and war debts. The country has no money, and the market failed.

    Hoover won the rebulican vote by a land slide, despite having no political office experiance. He grew up a mining engineer. They blamed him to the stock market crash, when it wasn't his fault.
