  • The 20's

    The 1920s is the decade in which fashion entered the modern era. Woman began expressing themselves more. They started to let go of their restricted fashion and began wearing short skirts and trousers. This is wear the famous flappers came out and started a fashion revolution.
  • The 30's

    Women started wearing padded shoulders in their blazers. Bolero jackets and puff sleeves were in style, as are short, fitted sweaters.
    Many women began wearing fur. Hair began to be piled on top of their hair in beuatiful twists.
  • Women fashion in war

    During these times the Second World War had begun and many women were working at the homefront. Obviously they wouldn't be so into fashion but they had what to wear and they were proud to wear their uniform. Could be a nurses uniform helping injured soldiers or a apron helping make the food to feed the soldiers. However; many women were also soldiers themselve and were very proud to wear their uniform.
  • The 40's

    Fashion in the 1940s was a good mix of comfort and glamour. Women more comfortably wore dresses and skirts. Clothes in the 1940s were very bright and colorful. The brighter the better. Women began going to the more feminine side after always wearing suits. They began wearing dresses again.

    The waistline was a major issue in the 1950s. Dresses became rounded, with ballerina length hems and cinched waists for a delicate, feminine hourglass look. Many floral and feminine colors were used. Hand bags and glasses became popular accessories. Many women began wearing shorts with bluses as more of a casual look.

    In the late 60's women let go of those retrained fashions and began using more bright and swirling colors. Women began to wear unbelievably short skirts. Women also wore fishnets stockings and spidery weaves and lace. They wore go-go boots and and box shaped PVC dresses.

    The fashion revolution happened in the 1970's. Polyester was the material of choice and bright colors were everywhere.men and women began wearing tight pants and platform shoes. The pant suit, leisure suit and track suit was what the average person was wearing. Both genders also loved rocking those bell bottom pants. More flare, more fashion.
  • The 80's

    The 1980's was the year when young teens started to want to dress like celebrities in wild clothing and crazy hair. The 80's was about being quirky and fun. Women wore tons of hairdpray to get there hair all frizzy. Scrunchies and bows were in. Women began werig what they wanted, could be a mini skirt a skirt plunging to your ankles. Many women began rocking sporty clothes such as tighs with legwarmers in very bright colors. It was just a decade of fun and experimenting.

    The 90's. The 90's had two different kinds of trends. The colorful fun loose clothing or the grungy dark more mysterious clothing. The tapered pants were a big deal. If they werent tapered, then you had to taper them yourself with a fold and a couple of clips. People rocked many different colors with alarming arrays of bright yellow, orange, red, purple and green. However the grundge look came into style. People began wearing leather and flannels and ripped jeans. everything they wore was black.

    The 2000's was where many different and odd fashions popped up. Such as getting bleach blonde streaks or wearing alot of denim. Some girls wore tiny skirts with tiny skirts. Other ladies were rocking throwback jerseys. Women began wearing anything popstars would wear, like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. They began wearing daisydukes, thongs, long-sleeved shirts with bell sleeves, cowl-neck tops, crop tops, Burberry, hoodies. Women also wore many different printed dresses. The 2000's.

    1. Fashion has come a long way and there were many do's and dont's. However, in this time now, you're basically allowed to wear whatever your heart desires. From ripped jeans to long dresses.
