Before a revolt could be successful the Colonies needed to be united. Benjamin Franklin tried to start the Albany Plan of Union, which was a yearly selected group (1 repsentatives from each colony) that would basically have the power that britain did( raise military, war and peace with Native Americans,and regulate trade with them etc. but the other conlnies and the Crown turned it down
