    The great depression was caused by a stock marget crash. It effected many people by having then lose jobs, money, and their homes. The U.S. was in very bad time and at a very weak spot.

    The Japanese army attacks Manchuria . This was an attempt by the Japanese to gain more control and power. This was one cause of WWll.

    FDR was the 32nd president of the United States. During WWll, he was the commander in cheif in alot of situations especially the two atomic bombs in Japan. He was the one keeping the U.S. strong during WWll.

    On January 30th, 1933, a powerful man known as Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany. We know him as a man of evil later in the war. It was him who would strike evil and determinatifon into his eneymys and into the world.

    The Japanese-AMerican incarceration gathered all Japanese Americans on the west coast into camps where they were not in harms way of the U.S. They were thought to be Japanese spies.

    The Battle of Midway was the biggest naval war during WWll. Japan hoped to finish off the U.S. but was suprised when the U.S. attacked them. The U.S. slaughtered the Japanese navy leaving them no time to recover.

    Guadalcanal was a strongpoint for the Japanese. The Americans launched Marines and boats to attck. After 6 months, the U.S. took it over.

    German forces wanted to take over Stalingard because it would be a threat to the Soviets. After a long fight, German forces were losing recources and were getting outsmarted by the Soviets. Hitler did not want to retreat but that action made the German forces lose.

    Americans, British, French, and Canadians tookj the German beach. Each team had it's own section to conquer. This basically destroyed the third reich and marked a ending in the war.

    The Battle of the Bulge was the Nazi attempt to stop the Allies. They wanted to split the Allies in two to stop them from getrting supplies. After long fighting, it came to an end. Germany was defeated.

    The Manhattan Project, was the reasearch and devolpment of atomic bombs. The U.S. made 2 atomic bombs that were going to be used on Japan to have them hoefuly surrender.

    Iwo Jima was a small island but a important one also. When the U.S. took control of it, they transported supplies and launched fighters and bombers off of it.

    Americans wanted to take over Okinawa because of the airways that were on it. The U.S. took over Okinawa and now had another spot to launch fighters and bombers.

    Hitler killed himself because he did not want to be captured and did not want to surrender. The Allies pushed forward in Berlin leaving Germany to surrender.

    The U.S. is on to the extreme. They threaten Japan with a atomic bomb wich doesn't make them surrender. They drop a second atomic bomn which makes Japan surrender and the war offically over.
