    This was a mass killing and ravaging of Chinese citizens. They don't know how much were killed, people debate a lot its anywhere from 100,000 to 300,000. It all went down in China, mostly in Nanjing. The Japanese did all this because they were in war.

    This was a meeting with Hitler and all the main people in the League of nations. Czech wasn't allowed at the meeting. The meeting took place in Munich, Germany. In the meeting they agreed to give Hitler the Sudetenland if he stopped his aggression after that. Hitler agreed to this. The reason this meeting was set up was to avoid war at all cost because of see what WWI did.

    Nazi's in Germany started torching synagogues, vandalized Jewish homes, schools and businesses and killed close to 100 Jews. It happened because of Hitler's revolts in Germany saying that they were the perfect race and everyone else must die.

    This was a pact between Germany and the Soviet Union where they agreed to take no military action against each other. Ths happened to make sure Germany could take Poland without any opposition. It also said in the Pact how they would split up the conquered lands.

    Selective Training and Service Act is passed
    This was the first peace time draft in the US. This new act required all men ages 21 to 35 to register for the draft. Men drafted serve for 1 year, only 900,000 men can be trained. This happened because of low military men, people didn't like war after WWI. Also in the face of another war. Draft was in the US.

    Hitler launched his armies eastward in a massive invasion of the Soviet Union. The army include three million German soldiers, 150 divisions, and three thousand tanks. They moved quickly across the frontier into Soviet territory. The Germans offensive into the soviet Union failed. Hitler did this because he wanted to conquer everyone.

    Navy’s Fifth Fleet and more than 180,000 US troops pushed the Pacific island of Okinawa for the final push toward Japan. When they landed they had no resistance and walked onto the island to be ambushed.
