    Germany Attacks Poland
    Germany had declared war on Poland on September 1st 1939. Germany code named this attack Operation white. The Germans had 850 bombers and dive boomers and 400 fighters and the Polish had only 210 bombers and 150 fighters. The Germans had 11 tanks compared to Poland's single tank. The out come for Poland was deadly. The polish lost over 8,082 men killed. 27,279 wounded and 5,029 missing in action. The German's war was successfully.

    Operation Barbarosa
    4.5 million Germans surprised attacked Poland, Finland, and Romania. This took place on June 22, 1941. Hitler had his eyes on the soviet resources for sometime so he decided to act out but in surprise. Germany had signed a non-aggression treaty with the USSR that's why it was such a surprise on the Soviet Union even though they were skeptical that Germany would keep there word. This gave them time to prepare to for this war or surprise attack.

    In 1941, on December 7 at 8am Pearl Harbor was a surprised attack by the Japanese. Japan thought that if they took out the war ships of the US that we wouldn't be able to attack them. Well they were painful wrong. From their attack we declared war the next day. The Japanese fighter planes and bombing planes released bombs, and torpedoes on our ships, and planes so we were unable to fight back.

    On January 20, 1942, 15 high-ranking Nazi Party and German government officials had a conference. The code name for this conference was "final solution". This was hitlers way of physically abolish Jews. Most participants were already of the national socialist's mass murder of Jews and civilians. Police and military units were already slaughtering tens of thousands of Jews in Germany. Not one person at the "Final Solution" conference opposed.

    In 1942, British bombers invaded hamburg. While Americans bomb during the day British bombed by night. Britain flew 791 air crafts filled with bombs over Germany. As result to this they only lost 12 air crafts. There had been an invention that would jam Germans radios. Germany began to slowly catch on to this radio jam and began mor aware of British bombers. The British hombre continued until November of that year.

    The death march began on April 10, 1942 when the Japanese soldiers rounded up a group of 78,000 prisoners (12,000 us and 66,000 Filipino) and forced them to begin marching up the east coast of Bataan. The pow's were already weak from hunger and disease but they still suffered immensely during the march. Regardless of any health condition, the POWs who couldn't keep up we're simply executed.     Durning 1939, the battle of Normmandy happened. It lasted from June 1944 to August 1944. The code name for this battle was "Operation Overlord" it began on June 1944 or D-Day. This is when 156,000 America, British, and Canadian forces landed on a beach with a stretch of 50-miles heavy fortified coast of France's Normandy region. It was one of the largest amphibious military assaults so it took some time to plan.
