    Holocaust

    The holocaust was an awful event in our worlds history. This was during WW2 where Nazi Germany ended up killing at least 6 million Jews across the German occupied Europe. This was all developed with the Germans idea of racisms. The Jewish victims were sent to concentration camps and work camps where eventually many of them starved to death, worked to death, or murdered. Many were also killed with poisonous gasses. This lasted from 1933 all the way to 1945.

    Invasion of Poland

    Germany invaded Poland in 1939. Germany falsely claimed that Poland was planning to completely tear Germany apart. After the Germans falsely accused the Poles, Hitler used this action and started a campaign against Poland. After battle, Poland surrenders against Germany. Then Germany starts to enforce its racial laws against Jews.
  • The Battle of Britain

    The Battle of Britain

    This battle was a military campaign during WW2. This was fought entirely by air forces, this battle was from July 10th - October 31st of 1940. The German forces wanted to compel Britain and negotiate peace with them. It ended up becoming an attack on Britain and Hitler sent ships to bomb them. However Germany ended up failing, and this was the first major failure of German forces. This turned out to be a major turning point in the war.

    Invasion of Soviet Union

    In June of 1941, Hitler decided to attack the Soviet Union. This was two years after the German and Soviet pact was signed. They attacked the Soviet on their broad front. This attack included more than 3 million German soldiers. This ended up resulting in major axis failure.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor

    Japan attacked pearl harbor in hopes to prevent the United States from interfering in their military actions overseas. Japan dropped a huge bomb on Hawaii and hit their ship, USS Arizona. It had a lot of ammunition in there, causing the ship to explode. This battle resulted in over 2,403 US men dying, 68 civilians, damaged at least 19 US Navy ships, and 8 battleships.
