The reason for Hitler doing this was because on November 7, a German diplomat got shot and murdered by a Jewish student. And after talking about what happened Hitler rounded up storm troopers and send then to burn, kill anything that was Jewish.

And later on, approximately killed 50 more thousands of people. 3 Days later the Nagasaki bomb got dropped.
