  • Nuremburg Trials- Hans Fritzshce

    Fritzsche began his service with the staff of the Reich Ministry for People's Enlightenment and Propaganda (hereinafter referred to as the Propaganda Ministry on 1 May 1933, he remained within the Propaganda Ministry until the Nazi downfall in the spring of 1945.
  • Blitzkrieg- Invasion of Poland

    The event where the Germans were using violent force by invading Poland from the north, south, and west.
  • Operation Overlord- Battle of Atlantic

    The battle that mainly took place in the Atlantic Ocean, it was started in order to destroy Germany's Blockade.
  • Theater of War- Theater of Operations

    The theater of Operations was used by the U.S.as Combat zones for war.
  • Operation Lucid

    a British plan to use fire ships to attack invasion barges that were gathering in ports on the northern coast of France in preparation for a German invasion of Britain in 1940. The attack was initiated several times in September and October that year, but unreliable ships and unfavourable weather caused the plan to be aborted on each occasion.
  • Pearl Harbor

    On December 7, 1941, the Japanese launched a surprise air attack on the U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor located in Hawaii.
  • U.S. Internment- Remote Camps

    President Franklin D Roosevelt issued remote camps for Japanese Americans after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Many of the people in the camps were children who were incarcerated for up to 4 years without due process.
  • Pacific Theater of War- Battle of Midway

    a major theater of the war between the Allies and Japan. It was defined by the Allied powers' Pacific Ocean Area command, which included most of the Pacific Ocean and its islands, while mainland Asia was excluded, as were the Philippines, the Dutch East Indies, Borneo, Australia, most of the Territory of New Guinea and the western part of the Solomon Islands.
  • European Theater- Battleof Stalingrad

    a major battle of World War II in which Nazi Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) in the southwestern Soviet Union. Russia's military is weakened and they must invest in resoures after the battle.
  • African Theater- Battle of El Alamein

    the British-American invasion of French North Africa during the North African Campaign of the Second World War which started on 8 November 1942. The operation created an easier route into Italy.
  • Shoah- The Holocaust

    This was on of the biggest mas murders of a group of people of all time. approximately six million Jews were murdered during this time.
  • D-Day Operation Overlord

    160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. General Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end on June 6, the Allies gained a foot- hold in Normandy.   • European Theater- Battle of the Bulge

    a major German offensive campaign launched through the densely forested Ardennes region of Wallonia in Belgium, France and Luxembourg on the Western Front toward the end of World War II in Europe. The surprise attack caught the Allied forces completely off guard and became the costliest battle in terms of casualties for the United States, whose forces bore the brunt of the attack. It also severely depleted Germany's war-making resources.
  • Pacific Theater- Battle of Iwo Jima

    a major battle in which the United States Armed Forces fought for and captured the island of Iwo Jima from the Japanese Empire. The American invasion had the goal of capturing the entire island, including its three airfields (including South Field and Central Field), to provide a staging area for attacks on the Japanese main islands.[2] This five-week battle comprised some of the fiercest and bloodiest fighting of the War in the Pacific of World War II.
  • Fat Man and Little Boy- Nagasaki and HIroshima

    First and only atom bombs ever dropped. Dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Dropped by Fat man and Little Boy.
