    United States now bombs Nagasaki 3 days after bombing Hiroshima. It is estimated 40,000 people were killed instantly the day the bomb was dropped and approximately 70,000 by the end of 1945.

    In September 2, 1945 Japan surrendered from WW2 after the 2 bombings in the cities of Hiroshima (August 6, 1945) and Nagasaki (August 9, 1945). This made the war finally come to an end
