    German troops and police invaded the ghetto where many Jews lived. They were there because they wanted to deport the living Jews to concentration camps/ killing centers.     A battle where 156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region.     Liberation of concentration camps
    The soldiers of the soviet union were the first to free the concentration camps. The first camp to be freed was Majdanek in Poland. Later in 1945, the american soldiers made a very big effort to invade Auschwitz on January 27th 1945. They helped save thousands of people who were inside the camp after the Germans retreated.British, Canadian, American, and French troops all were key parts in the liberation of many concentration camps.

    On 12/16/1944 the Germans applied they're last major offence in the war. The reason the bulge shape was created was because of the shape of the forest outlining the american western front. A blast equivalent to the power of 15,000 tons of TNT reduced four square miles of the city to ruins and immediately killed 80,000 people.
