The Battle of Midway was fought between America and Japan which resulted in an American vicotry. the Japanese were trying to capture the island for use as an air base supporting operations against Hawaii. The US were able to deploy three aircraft carriers agaisnt their four but Japanese didnt tknow the US was there. -

Stalingrad was fought between the Nazis and their allies (Italia, Romania, and Hungary) against the Soviet Union.The battle of stalingrad was a brutal battle between Germany and Russia led by Hitler and Stalin, for the contorl of the city of Stalingrad. Close to 1.5 million people lost their lives in this battle that the Germans lost and were never able to recover from. For the Russians, the victory paved the way for futrue successes. -

The Axis powers and the Allies were fighting in this war. What happened during this war was the British defeated the Germans for the first time ever. The ending of this war resulted in the Nazis hopes for capturing the Suez Canal and crossing into the Middle East for its vast oil supply . This battle ended on November 5th 1942 -

In Normandy on June 6, 1944, the Germans fought agaisnt the Americans, British and Canadians. Other allied countries were involved to a lesser extent. Hundreds of thousands troops died on this day because the troops in Normandy were so well prepared. -

This battle was Hitlers attempt to change war on the Western front. It was Germans fighting Belguim France and Luxembourg. The Germans attacked a section of the front held by te USA who lost the most casualties in this battle. The allies own the battle. -
