Japanese invaded Manchuria to steal resources.The Japanese were violent and cruel to the people who lived there. This was significant because it was an event that America intervened with. America refused to sell Japan any resources unless they stopped the invasions. -
Hitler Made Chancellor of Germany
Germany people were unhappy with the government and the Depression made them desperate. Hitler inspired them with promises of making Germany a powerful country again. This is important becuase Hitler was the one who convinced Germany into going to WWII. -

This was an agreement between Britan and Germany. The agreement was to allow Germany to expand it's territory. This was to brind appeasment to Germany. -

This was the movement of thousands of Jews to concentration camps. Synagagyes and Jewish shops were destroyed in the process. Kirstallnact is know to be the start of the hollocaust. -

This was an invasion of Poland by Germany. This was important because it led to the moblization of France and Britian. -

This was the evacutation of allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk. This event was able to give the allied forces more soldiers. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
The Japanese forces bombed a US naval station, killing hundreds of soldiers. The importance of this event was it helped Americans make the decision to join WWII. -
Bataan Death March
A march of American and Filipino prisoners after the Battle of Bataan. The march was 70 miles, and was from Mariveles to San Fernando. Many prisoners died along the way. This showed how cruel the Japanese could be and made America furious. -
Battle of Midway
United States navy defeated and attack by Japanese Navy. This was an important turning point for the Pacific war. It stopped Japanese adances and conquest in the pacific. -
D-Day
Allied forces invaded northern France. This was one of the biggest battles of WWII in which many soldiers died. -
Battle of the Bulge
This event was a major German offense. The imortance of it was the Germans last offense thrown against the allied forces in the west. -
Yalta Conference
A meeting of a British Prime minister and President FDR. It was important because the allies agreed that Europe would create democratic government. -
V-E Day
When German forces surrendered. The significance of this was it was the begining to the end of WWII. -
The Bombing of Hiroshima
America unleashed an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, tyring to get them to surrender. In total there was two bombs dropped on Japan. This showed the allies strength and pushed Japan to surrender. -
V-J Day
This was the day that Japan finally surrendered from WWII. This was significant because it was the end to WWII. A conflict that took more lives than any in history.
