In order to gain more power and support for his party, In November of 1923, Hitler planned a coup in Munich in an attempt to suppress the police and attack the political system within Germany. However, the coup went poorly. Hitler was arrested and charged with treason and the Nazi party was banned as it was deemed to dangerous. -
On the 26th of February 1924 was Hitler's trial. Hitler's skill in public speaking and defence of nationalistic motives and good intentions had gotten him a sentence of only five years and a variety of privileges in jail. Meanwhile, accomplices on the outside were working hard to have Hitler freed. During this time he worked on his book Mein Kampf, my struggles. This book contained Hitler's complete world view as well as all of his ideologies for the Nazi party and his experiences.

Hitler was given this position by President Hindenburg. 1934 President Hindenburg's death caused Hitler to take on the role of Chancellor and President combining the two, making himself the Fürhrer of Germany, the supreme leader. This allowed Hitler to finally implement his ideologies and plans throughout the whole of Germany. -

Poland and Britain formed an alliance to guarantee their security and told Germany they were not to invade Poland. However, Germany still invaded Poland on September 1st 1939 -
