The Battle of Britain was the defense of Britain from the attack of the German Air Force. -
Operation Barbarossa
It was the invasion on the Soviet Union. The Germans failed to defeat the Soviet forces. This was a huge attack and since it failed it was a huge turning point in the war. -
Operation torch
Military forecast from both the United States and United Kingdom launched an amphibious operation against French North Africa. This operation took a while because of planners not agreeing on things but they were set to land in 1944. But this gave the us more time to get the army bigger and get more resources. -
Operation Overlord
Operation overlord or (the battle of Normandy). It was a huge invasion and a successful invasion of Germany. It was through the sea and was a huge victory for the allies. -
Operation overlord part 2
The allies didn’t get all they needed to get done right away. It took a while for them to take it all back and get what they wanted done. The later on German forces after the great battle retreated. -
Yalta conference
This was the meeting of the heads of government. Such as the United States, United Kingdom and the Soviet Union. They all talked about the post war organization of Germany and of Europe.
