    On March 7,1936 German troops re-occupied the Rhineland, a remilitarised zone according to the Treaty of Versailles.

  • Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese did a suprise attack on the American Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. It destroyed most of our battleships, killed 2,400 and wounded another 1,200 service men. The next day Dec. 8th FDR asks congress to declare war on Japan.

    The Enola Gay was loaded with the world's first atomic bomb created by Robert Oppenheimer and Albert Einstein.
