  • Four Freedoms

    FDR told Americans he hoped to establish a world based on Four Freedoms, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of religion, Freedom from want, and Freedom from fear.
  • Land Lease Act

    FDR proposed the Lend Lease Act to sell, lease, or land war materials to nations the U.S.A supported, mainly Great Britain.
  • U.S.A cuts off trade with Japan

    U.S.A soon cut off trade and froze Japan's assets in the U.S. Japan would soon be aggressive with the U.S and cause them to join the war.
  • Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese did a suprise attack on the American Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. It destroyed most of our battleships, killed 2,400 and wounded another 1,200 service men. The next day Dec. 8th FDR asks congress to declare war on Japan.
