    Operation of Barbarossa
    This was an operation planned by Adolf Hitler, the German Third Reich chancellor, and other senior armed forces officers. The goal of this project was to defeat and destroy de Soviet Union´s red army, seize the cities of Moscow, Leningrad, and Kyiv, overthrow the Soviet Union´s communist government, and exploit Soviet territory for the benefit of Germany . This project failed and forced and a vicious counterattack forced Germany to step back from the Soviet territory.

    This battle was a turning point in WW2 because it was the German army´s first major setback and it had such an impact that they actually never managed to recover from it

    This was the final stage of WW2 where we saw America drop atomic bombs on the Japanese cities; Hiroshima and Nagasaki which had a total of at least 129,000 deaths and eventually lead to Japan´s surrender.
