With a month Poland had fallen and splited up by Germany and The Soviet Union. When this had happened Poland's allies France and Great Britian had declared war on Germany and The Soviet Union.

Great Britian had sended some troopers to fight along with the French soldiers. Within a month the German's had got to Paris and took France surrendered

This was a German offensive attack to try to get to Moscow and control The Soviet Union. The most famous Battle was The Battle of Stalingrad which the German forces were deafeted and pushed back west. At that moment The Soviet Union had pushed back Germany to Berlin.

    The Empire of Japan had attacked the United States naval fleet on Pearl Harbor. Then the US had declared war on the Empire of Japan. Which then we had entered the war. The loss of the Americans was bad, they had lost 4 Battleships along with the sailors inside of the ship. The Japanese airplanes had also destroyed most of the American Aircraft.

    The Battle of Midway was a turning part in the war for the American forces which had lead them to an offensive turn. Because the American code breakers broke the Japanese code of them attacking Midway. The American naval fleet had gone with 3 aircraft carieers which only lost 1 of them. The Japanese fleet had lost pilots that were exprienced to fighting. The Americans had prepared the island from being captured fromt the Japanese island.

    This battle was a key victory for the Allied force in the Pacific islands. It turns the tide on the Japanese army, it starts a offensive attack for the Allied forces. The airfield on the island taken by the Allied forces was a key island for bombing. The Japanese had lost more that half their men and the Allied forces had lost only 7,100 men due to diseases and wounds caused by the Japanese. They lost their men by doing Banzi attacks with only a small group of men.

    D-Day was also named Operation Overlord. It was to go to France and try to get it back from the German army. They had land on Normandy and started to push the Germans east. The units involved was soldiers on battleships and some had parachuted into France. The German army had setup on France mainland for the invasion. At first the Allied forces had been getting masscered. From support from other Allied force they had taken Normandy and started to liberate France from German Rule.

    The Bombing of Tokyo was to destroy some of the factorys that produces weapons and tanks etc. Most of the Bombing was with B-29's superfortress by dropping bombs. But to destroy most of the productions, Curtis LeMay had ordered to use incendiray bombs. In one raid with this type of Bomb 88,000 people had died. But all the Casualties was 1.5 million persons. One of the Air-raids Operation Meetinghouse was the deadliest one of all.

    This battle was a German offensive campaign to minimizing radio traffic and the movement of troopers. But also to split the Allied forces and try to defeat them. The Allied forces had been suprised attacked by the Axis forces and splited in half. Allied forces had been reciveing help from the Soviets by trains and planes. This battle was the single bloodiest battle in World War 2 for the Ameican forces. The outcome was a Decisive Allied victory.

    The island of Iwo Jima was only 810 miles from mainland Japan. With that island occupied it can be used as an airfield to also bomb Japan. The Japanese army had preppared for the defensive side of the war. With some tunnel systems and heavy weapons. When the American forces landed the Battleships had fired their cannons onto the island. The tunnel systems were so deep the American forces used Flamethowers into those holes or grenades into them.

    The Battle of Berlin was when Soviet forces were coming from west and Allied forces were coming from the east. It was a strategic offensive for the Allied forces to capture the captial of the Reich. For the finally German defense it was only 36 divisons of German soldiers to defend the city. Before the Russians had gotten to the bunker under the city, Adolf Hitler had commited suicide with other high Nazi officals. When Germany had finally fallen the Russians had ocupied it.

    The dropping of the Atomic bombs was a bombing of Japaneese cities to get Japan to surrender to the Allied forces. They had given names to each of the bombs, they were The Fat Man and Little Boy. Little Boy was the first bomb to be dropped on the city of Hiroshima and there was about 90,000-166,000 casualties. Fat Man was the second bomb to be dropped on Nagasaki and the casualties were 60,000-80,000 people

    After the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki he Empire of Japan had finally surrendered to the Allied Forces. Before that on August 8,1945 the Soviet Union had declared war on Japan. The Empire of Japan had surrendered on the U.S.S Missouri. After that day it was when World War 2 had officaly ended on both fronts.
