    The German invasion of Russia which came as a surprise for the Russians who signed a peace treaty with the Nazis

    The Japanese air force destroyed a naval base in Hawaii by surprise. The damage was great, and it was when the US declared war against Japan

    The American, British, and Canadian assault on the beaches of Normandy, France.

    Was the assault that regained the control of France from the Nazis

    It was the final major assault by German forces to gain control land in-between the allies, trying to get good positioning

    It was an assault on a German city that was home to many refugees and more of a cultural city. It was highly controversial.

    Hitler Shot himself while in a bunker with his wife, as the allied forces were closing in on him.

  • Bombing Hiroshima (Pacific)

    The Americans dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, showing the world the weapon they had created. Using it was the first step to ending the war in the Pacific. It was by far the most catastrophic of the two.

    The second atomic bombed dropped on the Japanese city of Nagasaki. It missed the original target by miles but still caused alot of damage.
