They dressed up a german soilder as a polish man and sent him to kill another german soilder to make it seem as though they had a reason to fight Poland first.The British and the French didin't believe it at all and they joined WW2 to fight against Germany.

The Japanese planned a surprise attack on our Naval Base in Hawaii. They destroyed 20 American Naval vessles, 8 battle ships, and around 300 planes. The USS Arizona is the most famous sunk ship that you can still see today.

The U.S surrender to the Japanese in the Phillipines. They had to make a 65 mile march to the death camp where they were barley fed and few survived the cruel punishments that the Japanese had to offer.

The Japanese tried to take over this sea but had a surprise of the allied powers when they showed up. After the attack both sides were damaged, but Japan was too damaged to recover and finish the battle. It only lasted 4 days.

This was the U.S. battle that got the revenge for Pearl Harbor. We broke their Japanese naval code and we knew every move they wanted to make on us. We caused permanent damage on their navy.

This battle was won by the soviets while Germany, instructed by Hitler, tried to overtake the land named after Joseph Stalin. It was recorded as one of the bloodiest battles in history. The casualties of civilians and the military were counted up to 2 million.

The waters of Normandy were also awful so Hitler didn't think we would attack. We were trying to save Western Europe from Nazi control.

We returned to the Phippines. This was a Naval victory for the U.S. This was also the battle that Japan started to use suicide missions to destroy our ships.

This was the last Pacific battle of WW2. It was the bloodiest battle of the Pacific since the U.S. was so close to getting to Japan. We won this battle, and the next step was to invade or bomb Japan.

The United States dropped this devestating bomb on a couple cities in Japan hoping to get them to surrender. Hiroshima was the first one. This bomb was equivilent to 15,000 tons of TNT. It killed 80,000 people, including civilians, instantly. Japan still didn't surrender.

Three days aftter the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, another was dropped in Nagasaki. This bomb was a little larger. It was equivilant to 20,000 tons of TNT, but since the town was covered in large hills it helped with the innitial blasts damage. It still killed between 60,000 to 80,000 people with deaths from the radiation still happening a few months and years later.
