Operation Dynamo was the cidename fro the evacuation of british troops from Dunkirk in france. After the battle of Dunkirk the allied troops had been cut of by the German army so were trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk. The British were asked if they had a boat to help evacuate the men from dunkirk and bing them back to Britain. By the 1st day only 7,011 troops were evacuate dbut by the ninth day 338,226 troops ere evacuted not only by the military boats and ships but by the public.
